On August 15th, I went to the Scream it Like you Mean It Tour and I for the first time, brought my new camera with me. My Pentax X90. I had no worries because it wasn't even half sold out the tour it was a very small crowd and I was leaning right against the stage. I didn't use my flash for any of my pictures because I didn't want to annoy the bands with it. I couldn't figure out want setting to put on my camera to make decent pictures none blurry ones. I tried a few settings - please if you know any good concert settings let me know. the low lighting kills everything but I love the challenge! I finally got fed up and just left it on Atuo which was alright. I posted 4 pictures up. What I noticed a lot of my pictures and even my photography is coming along great and it just keeps on improving all the time. I have to start taking pictures of other things besides concerts! I really need to update my photography flash and take down pictures I'm not so keen about anymore. Over all I had a good summer with concerts to go too and they where all very fun and entertaining. There was some other concerts I wanted to go to but just so expensive. There is still concerts coming up for 'Fall Tours'. There's one in September I would like to go to - Up Roar Festival but it's so so expensive; and as for another concerts, I think I'm just going to take a break for a while. It's making me so broke!
It's now August, I haven't updated since April. Where to start? In July I went to the Vans Warped Tour which, I didn't upload any of my photos on here. Some turned out great. August 4th I went to see All Time Low - Gimme Summer Ya Love Tour which I might up load a photo from it later on or something it all depends on how I feel. I ended up getting some good shots.

I added a couple of new photos from the concert I went to back in April. I just added the ones that I thought where the better ones out of the bunch I took. I didn't edit the pictures either. It's all pure lighting. My flash was off the whole time. There is one photo that I think is interesting that I took.
What do you think? It's from a band called I See Stars. It's part of the keyboard stand that kept jabbing into my stomach while leaning against the stage. You kind of see the depth in the picture just by how it was focused on the stand. I haven't updated this in a while. The last entry was about a pit photographer The Spring Ap Tour. It didn't come true but oh wow what a concert this was. No gate and I was leaning against the stage. Turns out I could of brought my new camera in since a few people had brought in Digital SRL cameras.
I know I should of updated about two weeks ago but I just never came around to it. I'll post a few pictures when I get a chance to. Some turned out pretty amazing the lighting. If you want to read about my day, just a heads up. complaining may be involved in the entry or and previous entries. It's my journal from my Live Journal. Comment, then add me is all I ask! I was young and foolish when I made the account so don't mind my entries, complaining or username. I'm not a premier account so I can't change my username like how I would like too. I don't want to sound unprofessional with some of the vulgar contain. Remember it's my personal journal so don't take everything so seriously. It's a place where I vent out. New pictures coming soon. On April 12th 2011, I have a concert in town. Yes! Spring is around the corner and I couldn't be more ecstatic for some warmer weather. I'm tired of Canadian bi-polar igloo weather.
More so about the concert. It's the AP Spring tour. Bands include Conditions, VersaEmerge, I See Stars, Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows and Black Veil Brides. Destroy Rebuild Until God shows, posted a link on their facebook to the AP website. They're looking for pit photographers. A chance to win a Photo pit pass and win a pair of tickets. All needed to be done was fill out a basic contact form. Although I already have tickets if I win, I'll try and find someone to buy my tickets. Here's for the hoping that I win the Photo pass! It'll be a dream come true. It'd be nice to win maybe there will be a whole new door that will open for me. My camera would be so small compared to a lot of the camera's in the pit. I would love to upgrade my camera again. One that I can change the lens on but first, I have to learn and use my new one. So, on December 29th 2010, it was a little bit of family time. I brought my new camera to test it out and to play around with it. I got a cute picture of my baby cousin Rebeka. Remember the little girl from baby time? Yeah her, she's almost 3 now! She isn't my only cousin, she just happen to be in a good mood and playing around so I ended up taking one picture of her. Computer killed the quality since this camera is a 12.1 mega pexle and produces amazing quality pictures. I put the picture to more of a sepia color.
It has been forever since that I've posted something on here. I'm sorry.
Anyone reading these? I don't think so. Here's the first blog of 2011. A late Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 2011 has finally hit. Happy Holiday's who aren't into Christmas. So Guess what I got for Christmas? A Pentax x90 Digital SR camera. I know finally right? It's smaller then a Nikon D3000 and Canon Rebel T2I Etc. But that is okay, it's better then my point and shoot and now, I have a whole new camera to practice on. I still dream about the Olympus E-620 Digital SRL camera and a Canon Rebel T2I but, they're just to much. I haven't updated this in awhile but, yes I'm a live still! Alive and kicking. It's the end of August now! Autumn is around the corner and you can tell. School just started, the leaves are starting to turn red on the trees because they're losing their photosynthesis and which means glorious autumn pictures can come! Proving I get my ass out there to do some shooting. I know for a fact, the end of October I'll be in town for a concert. I'll try and take some pictures which in line and maybe at night too. I know for a fact, I have to force me self to take that damn metro picture that I've been wanting to take for a long, long really long time but just never got to do it. I always seem to forget to do that picture. My camera is usually put away i my bag
Maybe one of these days when it cools off again and the leaves are more red, I'll take some more pictures. Here's for the hoping. Lately I've been taking some pictures of flowers; better then nothing and it's helping me. My skills have perked up and the pictures have turned out pretty good for a point and shoot camera.
I just came across 2 great quotes and made me think and I think; I just got a little more inspired to take more pictures. I just have to find places that will make me want to capture it and inspire me in taking some great shots. Quote one: 'A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know' - Diane Arbus Quote two: 'Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever. . . it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything' - Aaron Sussman If you think about it, it's true in a way. This summer I'm hoping it's a good one. There's an event I'm going to, my annual Vans Warped tour and this year, I'm going to try and capture Photography and not just pictures. I wonder how well I'll do in that. I took this picture a while back and just edited it to see how it would look. It's my MP3 player; I actually find the picture pretty interesting and the way I edited it. Something simple and the black and white tones it down a bit but the Matte makes it kind of loud. There's something about it that I like. Although, it's still kinda of a 'boring' and 'bland' picture. Maybe some speakers could of made it a little more interesting? What do you think of it? Summer of 2009, during a family barbaque, I had my camera with me just in case because you never know when you would have something to photograph. One of my little cousins was there so I decided, to take a couple of photographs of her and this is what turned out. She was born on July 7th,2008.
Only one picture has been cropped; just to show the different effect of the picture. I think the cropped one looks better. I was just learning with the camera and still am. All my pictures that I've posted are done with just point and shoot cameras as of now until I get my professional camera. They where taken with a Olympus F-370. |
